My beloved Ghost passed away at 04:29am on Friday, June 20th, 2025. In my arms, where he was most at peace. Ghost - to say I love you doesn't do justice for how much I truly cared about you. You came into my life when I'd hit rock bottom. You saw something in me, and I in you... I was slightly broken and lonely. Trying to figure out what life looked like after my brother passed away. You were slightly broken and lonely. Trying to find a forever home - the kind that would love and cherish you, and never abandon you again. "We found love in a hopeless place." And we became each other's hope. You taught me that life isn't permanent, but love is. And that grief is it's twin. Two sides of the same coin, just like you and I. Don’t really know how to write this. Coop, you were so much stronger than I am. In September, 2024, Cooper crossed the rainbow bridge at the age of 3. He was such a fighter and fought his cancer so hard until the very end. In a way, what happened was expected, but I really never thought that day would come for Coop. I could never admit or believe it. He took every bit of adversity in stride, battled through all the tough days and treatments, and never wavered in his unconditional love for his family.
To Cooper: Coop, you taught me so much about myself, life, and unconditional love—how can I ever repay you? I am so sorry for putting you through any pain. I am so sorry you’re gone. I miss you more than anything, and I hope to God you know how much I’ll always love you. You were the most pure soul, and most definitely my soul dog. You have a special place in my heart forever, and I can’t wait to see you again. Oh Coopy, it was so hard to choose a photo for this. I have thousands of Coop photos to share with the world (sorry for always shoving the camera in your face), because you were always just the happiest boy.
This smile is what made everyone fall in love with you. Thank you Coopy, for everything. This isn’t goodbye, I promise. It’s just a ‘see ya later’—wait for me buddy.
